Delete your account

Option 1. Delete from inside the app (recommended)

1. Open Maju and sign in.
2. Tap Settings (rightmost tab in the bottom bar).
3. Scroll to the very bottom of the screen.
4. Tap “Delete account”.
5. Confirm in the dialog — the account is permanently removed immediately.

Deletion is immediate. There is no waiting period and no recovery option.

Option 2. If you can't access the app (email request)

If you've already uninstalled Maju or can't sign in, email us to request deletion:

Please include the email address you signed up with so we can verify ownership. We respond within 5 business days.

Data that will be deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Account information (email, display name, profile photo)
• All asset data you entered (accounts, balances, snapshots)
• Transactions you created (income and spending)
• Recap messages and mood entries you wrote
• Calendar events and attached photos you added
• Push notification device tokens

Data we retain

A small amount of non-identifying data may be kept briefly for legal compliance and abuse prevention:

• Hashed email — kept for 30 days to prevent repeat signups from a deleted account, then deleted.
• Anonymous aggregate logs — non-identifiable metrics (signups, DAU, etc).

Your partner's account and data are unaffected by your deletion. To delete their data, your partner must perform the deletion themselves.
